Questions

Frequently asked

Yes. There is no signup, no email gate, and no cap on how many plans you build. We keep it free because some visitors book through our partner links, and that covers the cost of running the site.

The base rates (Budget ₹2,000, Comfort ₹4,400, Luxury ₹9,600 per person per day) are built from listed prices on hotel and houseboat booking sites, checked every few months. Your actual trip can run 10-20% higher or lower depending on which hotels you pick and how far in advance you book.

December and January are Kerala's peak season: houseboats and beach-facing rooms in Alappuzha, Kumarakom, and Varkala routinely sell out weeks ahead, and prices follow demand. We apply a 1.25x multiplier for those two months. June to August is the monsoon, with fewer visitors and around 15% lower prices, though some houseboat routes reduce sailings in heavy rain.

For December, January, and the Onam period (usually late August or early September), yes, especially houseboats and Munnar hotels. For the rest of the year you can book your first two nights and figure out the rest as you go, which is how most independent travelers in Kerala actually move.

No. We are a planning tool, not a travel agency. The planner gives you a realistic budget and a day-by-day shape; you book directly with hotels, houseboat operators, or a local agent of your choice. The booking links under each plan go to third-party sites.

Because the planner is a budget estimator, not a booking engine, and hotel prices change by the week. Showing named hotels with stale prices would be less honest than showing you the category-level math and pointing you to a live search.
